29 March '06: The renewed track through platforms 1/19 has now had a new scissor crossover installed, which will connect to the track serving the new platform. This was installed over the weekend of 25/26 March, having been delivered by 66135 and 66140 on BPA 'Boplate' wagons. 25 May '06: Plasser & Theurer 08-16/4x4C-RT switch & crossing tamper DR73913 in Amec Orange livery, usually operating in the SE of England, was transported by road for work on the new platform line.
